Pretty cool. Someone should document all this. I haven't touched the source for the site in ages, but you all found ways of getting around its limitations.

For things you don't want to show up. It used to be that brackets [] would just vanish, and I often put them spaced after my image signatures to prevent that weird thing that happens here when a photo link runs right into a bracket and no longer works. When they stopped auto-vanishing, I tried just putting a dot or something there, but it looked weird, so now I have [/sig] in black typeface right after my signature.
I think I've used it a couple times to hide little easter eggs in my posts, only found if things were highlighted or replied with quote.
