How good was it?!
I can't wait to see what Martin McDonough (the writer/director of In Bruges) does next.
and Chrisisall, you didn't like Xmen 2? Granted, I wouldn't say it was one of my favourites, but it was better than number 3.
Also, I'm unsure whether I already put it above, but after watching it again, I'd have to add Let The Right One In. Beautiful and brilliant Swedish (I'm fairly sure) vampire film. Of course, a Hollywood version is apparently already in the works from Cloverfield director Matt Reeves. Hopefully that will either get scrapped or Reeves will fight to get the version to be a very strict remake.
*Edit: I did put it above. Terrible memory.*
Ok to add more movies then, I'll say Hellboy 1 and 2. Probably 2 more than 1, but I thought both were fairly extraordinary.

Hmm, perhaps.
But one of us is standing up for a well reviewed, respected and highly successful film. The other is standing up for a horribly reviewed flop that essentially killed off two seperate franchises.
I feel comfortable with the seperation.

I can see where some of these get on some lists (even if not for me), but some I'm not getting.
Solaris? why?
And The Prestige. Why? Are some not familiar with Tesla? was there not enough foreshadowing? I did like it, but don't get why some make it their fave. I did enjoy the cast.

Quote:Hey- I own it, okay? I just don't see it being on a best or favourites list when Wolverine can be knocked out by a .22!!! It should have just bounced off his skull & irritated him. I liked the first & last ones more.

Quote:AVP Requiem? I just said I liked it, not that it belonged on a pedestal or anything. It delivered the scares & sounded nice. The first AVP was a waste on almost every level.

Quote:It was a throwback to the trippy weirdness of 2001. Plus, it made you think- that's rare these days.

I agree the first AvP was a waste. But I also think it was FAAAAR superior to the POS sequel. Ugh, I barely even finished it.

Uh, Chris, a healing factor and adamantium skeleton wouldn't stop the brain from smacking against the inside of the skull.
2 is far superior to 1 and 3 in plot and writing. but if a little logic wrecks it for ya.... I can't help.
