Ah yes. The father. I usually can't stand the whole 'Daddy' issues in TV shows, but this was one of the few occasions where it had a significant purpose behind it. It was handled very well.

Holy crap! Did anyone watch tonight's episode?! That was the most intense hour of tv I've seen all season. Plus with the funny:

I need to bump this thread, because Supernatural continues to deliver. I thought this last episode was just filler. Boy was I in for a surprise.
I don't see a lot of the shows many people on this board enjoy, and while there are some great guilty pleasures, e.g., House, Supernatural is far and away the best long-term investment on tv right now, imo.

I can count the number of filler episodes for this series on one hand. I was a bit surprised by this last episode. It looked to be the another baddie messing with the Winchesters. Imagine my surprise when it turns out to be an object lesson from yet another angel. Looks as though Dean got the message. Considering his little meltdown at the end of last week's episode I expected at least a few episodes worth of sulking.

You mean Dean Smith and Sam Wessen, don't you?
I thought the same thing. There was one demon, I forget what it's called, that had messed with them twice, putting them in alternate realities. One was a time loop. I thought it was the same thing.

Yeah, I was expecting the Djinni too. It seemed (at first) like the "perfect life" Dean might wish for (again).
The Trickster was less likely, given the oblique (casting & title-related) spoilers I've heard about an upcoming ep.

This episode was a very clever nod to real life fandom as there are Sam girls, Dean girls and people who are into the Sam/Dean thing. "They know we're brothers right?"
The gospel of Winchester is an interesting new twist. Castiel's "you should have seen Luke" had me laughing it up. I imagine it would be quite the burden.
I'm a little fuzzy as to why Dean warned Lilith of her impending doom. Would it not have been better to allow a bit Archangel smiting? Problem solved.

I think Lilith knew who Chuck was and what would happen as soon as she soon him. She got this whole "Aw, crap" look on her face when Chuck ran in declaring himself a prophet, so it's Chuck's fault.
All in all, this was one of my favorite episodes.
