Fox News mocks the Canadian military

They made fun of a man's name, because it was LESLIE. Clearly, this is childish, light hearted banter and not meant to be taken on any level as remotely serious. The ENTIRE SHOW is that way, so don't go calling it " FOX NEWS " because it only appears on the channel, it's not their actual NEWS program.

I am shocked, shocked I say, that you should show such a cavalier dismissal of aggreived canucks all aboot. Are you also saying you find it humorous when canucks are called Shirley, even though they ask "don't call me Shirley"? I am chagrined at the lack of sensitivity.
On a serious note, a fellow Marine was Canadian, he was serving the U.S. Marine Corps because Canada did not have a Marine Corps, or so he said. He was an hororable sort, from Summerland.

Likewise, I'd ask that you not malign CBS News for things that are reported on 60 Minutes, nor MSNBC for things that are commented on by Keith Olbermann. After all, those shows only APPEAR on those channels, they aren't their actual NEWS programs.

Good point, but then doesn't that lump Olbermann and Matthews into the "pundit hacks" that need to "go away" like Limbaugh, Hannity and the like?

Does it lump them in with the "pundit" bunch? Absolutely. Right there with Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and Hannity; Matthews, Olbermann, and Maddow serve the same function, only on the left instead of the right.
Do they need to "go away", all of them? Nope. I don't think I've called for any of them to "go away". And if you can't remember who said that they should, you can rest assured that it certainly wasn't me. Freedom of speech, to me, means freedom even for speech that I may find offensive. Garbage, after all, has the right to be garbage.
Just something else to ponder... (Hey - you trying to step on my lines?
