I'd put Dexter on my list, but for me it's kind of in another pantheon of TV, since it's premium-cable.

And Robot Chicken is simply must-see TV.

You know, I don't hate it, but I'm starting to lose patience with it. There are a few intriguing moments per episode, and that's all. Those moments really need to pick up, and pick up fast, or that little voice in the back of my mind asking "what's the point of this?" is going to drown out everything I've found interesting so far.

I know Dexter's on premium cable, but it's just the only thing I get itchy to see more of. There's plenty of enjoyable shows. I really like Chuck, and a few others that my fevered brain can't pull up the names of right now, and there's a lot I just haven't seen any of. My current schedule rarely lends itself to watching a show every week; I have to remember to watch online or get someone to record it, so that's why I say I put the effort in to watch Dexter.

Though I definitely watch Robot Chicken online fairly regularly, too. It's so random and twisted and full of geeky delight <3

I guess this would be my top 50 of shows that aired sometime in the 2008-09 season or didn't air this season but are still shows that are in production (Curb Your Enthusiasm).

Factors I account for: How satisfied am I after watching, how much do I look forward to an episode, how upset am I if I miss an episode, how consistant is the show, how long will I let the show sit on my DVR before I watch, and how much stuff about the show don't I like even though I like the show overall (I'm looking at you Life on Mars, 24, and Heroes!).

(Yes, I have a lot of time on my hands!)

Not really impressed with Dollhouse... but I don't watch too much TV, so I only have a few I consider better:

BSG - Which granted, will only be a "current show" for 2 more days, but it still kicks much ass.

LOST - Love this show.

Bones - Not a big favorite of mine, but I enjoy it every time I happen across it.

House - Same deal as Bones.

Venture Bros. - 4th season starts soon, can't wait!

Last night's episode of Reaper really reminded me of why I started liking the show in the first place. The Devil with his blowup-doll just before the sexual addiction support group, not to mention his running of the AA meeting was simply one the funniest things I've seen in the last month.

It took me a long time to discover the Venture Brothers, and I'm certainly glad I warmed up to it. The second season episode "Victor Echo November" is hands down one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life, period.

I usually give a show three episodes to hook me. For that reason I'm glad I slept through the awful back up singer episode of Dollhouse and watched "Grey Hour" instead. "True Believer" ended being great as well, and now I'll happily stick with the show as it gets more and more intersting every episode.

I'm very, very sad to see Battlestar Galactica go away. I think the show has been vast, epic, and magnificent (I could do with less Adama drinking, collapsing, and crying in these last episodes though. Where's the Commander that choked the shit out of Athena, thinking she was Boomer in "Kobol's Last Gleaming". I miss that guy.)

Patienly, patiently waiting for Fringe to come back on the air if for no other reason than this conversation:

There's the reason to watch the show right there!

Also, I think Chuck is a fantastic show, but I need more Baldwin involvement. Lately, they've just had him hanging out in the background and grunting. The Casey-centric episodes were all great, so let's have more of those, please.

I also can't turn down an episode of Mythbusters or Dirty Jobs. Or Jeopardy! unless it's a rerun.

God help you if it's a rerun!!!

But the journey is the worthier part!!

I'm loving Lost at the moment, it's probably the one show that still actually surprises, me, and that I can't guess everything before the end of the episode.

Reaper being back is brilliant.

Castle is going really well, second episode was slightly weaker, but was still great.

and Chuck, as always, is absolutely brilliant.
