According to a reader survey on Cinescape, here is a list of the top worst TV shows, ever.

1. ENTERPRISE (The hands down winner, yet still virtually insured of a fifth season.)

3. Anything described as "Reality." (this vote did not include the I’M WITH BUSEY exception).

4. FEAR FACTOR

5. Whatever replaces ANGEL

6. CHARMED

7. THE SWAN

8. FIGHTING FOODONS

9. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA 1980

10. AMERICAN F-ING IDOL (I assume this is not to be confused with AMERICAN IDOL … is this version on the Spice channel?)

Well it isn't the best but its not as bad as "Reality" TV!

Oh, there are worse shows than Enterprise....

I just can't think of them at the moment....

My vote for worst currently would be "Will and Grace." I have never been able to watch a complete episode, it just ain't funny at all.

Enterprise is bad, but I think the rest of those entries should be higher on the list, even on Enterprise's worst day.

Enterprise is not a great show. However, there is no way it should even be on a "ten worst" list. There are at least ten "reality" shows that are all a lot worse than Enterprise, plus several sit-coms that are also worse (I think someone named Will and Grace earlier). There are quite a few other sit-coms that are also really bad - so bad that I can't stand to watch them for even five minutes. At least when Enterprise comes on, I don't feel immediately compelled to change the channel. That alone makes it better than most of what's on tv these days.

I wonder if Enterprise got a strong vote because people compare it not only to what else is currently on, but to what they feel it should be.

I don't watch it. Tried to, when it was new, but couldn't keep any interest in it. I don't hate it or anything, it's just not even on my radar anymore.

I think I pretty much agree with you. People seem to say that Enterprise sucks because it's not as good as TOS, or TNG, or DS9. It's kind of like what they do with Buffy season 6. Their "logic" is that since season 6 is different from, and therefore worse than (in their opinions), season 3 (for instance), that season 6 sucks. That's ridiculous, of course, because season 6 is still much better than any tv that came before Buffy. It's the same with Enterprise. The reality of the show doesn't meet people's excessively high expectations. But that doesn't mean that the show is actually terrible.

As to watching it, I do; but only because the alternatives are worse. To me, that makes Enterprise a fairly decent show, at least in the current tv landscape....
