Um, not so much. Joss has proven time and again that he has an astute knowledge and command of the language. As such, he gets some leeway to mangle it a bit, because he knows what he's doing.

Actually, I think you're just fine with torturing 100 innocents in the hopes of finding one terrorist.
I'm supposed to care about the rights of EVERYBODY exactly as much as I care about the rights of my own family. That's the idea behind "equal protection under the law." I know such lofty goals are beyond you, but it was the idea the founding fathers had, that the least of us were exactly as deserving of the rule of law as the best of us.
You remind me very much of young Will Roper in "A Man For All Seasons"...
