Has anyone else read the news about Alan Tudyk possibly playing Alpha on Dollhouse? This is would be awesome...if it's is true. Can any one confirm this?

oops sorry if I spoiled something with my lack of spoil warning.

But I was simply wondering, I checked IMDB and he wasn't listed there on the Dollhouse page or on his page. In fact i only read this news on like one site.

It would be great to see a Firefly alumni on Joss's new show, but playing Alpa? Hmmm i don't know what i think of that. I mean we're all used to seeing Alan Tudyk as our wise-cracking Wash, but playing a schizophrenic killer? That might be just a little wierd.

But I'm not going to make any judgements untill I see it.

I honestly can't wait to watch more!

If it is true, Alans presense will be a huge drawcard for Dollhouse!

Alan Tudyk was at Farpoint Con in Baltimore, MD over Valentines weekend.
During his Q&A session, he was asked about appearing on Dollhouse. He said that the rumor is false. He was on the set visiting his friends -- that's how the rumor got started.

But he did say that if Nathan's new show Castle gets a 2nd season, that he'll make an appearance. Because of scheduling, he wasn't able to get into season 1.

And Tim Minear was one of the people he visited at the Dollhouse set. Makes you wonder if they're cooking something up together. That's something I'd DEFINITELY watch.

I don't really see Alan in the role of Alpha. I can't remember the scene where we see his back in the pilot, but I thought he looked pretty built. Wash is just a semi-muscular man. Unless Alan's been really working out for the role I just don't see it. My impression of Alpha is that he's almost a super weapon. Alan to me would have to play more of a devious master mind type of villain. I don't see him taking on a number of opponents in hand to hand combat.

This seems like a made up bit of news from a fan IMO. Though I'm not sure why Joss hasn't come out and killed the rumor if it's false.

Wash is a semi-muscular man, that in no way means Alan can't be built. Maybe not, but I've seen no evidence that's the case. He's been pretty ripped in the past.
He's a great character actor, I doubt we've seen his entire range even now.

Has anyone seen the episode of CSI that Alan did? He was a pedophile and totally creeped me out. That man is an amazing actor.
