Our 24 hour run-off has decided the poll. The title of the Board's Favorite Whedon Female Character goes to . . . .

Willow Rosenberg, with 14 votes in the run-off. (Applause also for the runner up, Kaywinnet Lee Frye, with 8 votes. Should the winner be unable to fulfill her duties as Favorite, the runner-up will take her place.)

And, the hotly-contested title of Board's Favorite Whendon Male Character goes to . . . .

William the Bloody, aka Spike, with 13 votes in the run-off. (Applause also for the runner-up, Jayne Cobb, with 9 votes in the run-off. See disclaimer above.)

Um... excuse me... but... did you NOT see MY picture in the Blue Sun Room? I was there with Alexis Denisof and THE Joss, so I think that makes me eligible as a part of the Whedoverse, and yet I don't see my nomination, much less my announcement as Champion...

I demand a recount!!!

Sorry, Jefe, there were no votes cast for you, in any of the polls, possibly because you haven't appeared as a major character in any of the shows.

I'll count the votes again, but Spike and Willow will still win.

Yeah, that surprised the hell out of me. I expected we'd get a few token votes for Spike, Wes, Willow, and Fred, but I guess you can't predict what this board will come up with.

As I've said before, I'll keep recounting the votes as often as y'all like, but the numbers won't change. Spike 13, Jayne 9, Willow 14, Kaylee 8.
