Thinks I needs a beers too. Stuff sucks, want to drown it.

But my sister did just gave birth to a new son so there is something to celebrate.

Ok, so it's not just me who's been too busy to post recently?! RMMC! Great to see you back! FMF also dragged me back in with the lure of llymerics!

I'd forgotten how nice it is to have a home away from home and I was over the moon to see so many people I knew and loved still around.

Gee - that book sounds fantastic. If ever you need a proof reader, that's a job I love! I've done that for my sister who is trying to get published at the moment. I'm purely a small time writer, just Fanfiction (which I must get around to finishing one day!)

Hope you're feeling better MsA. How's the eye today? Have you moved school since last we spoke or are you at the same one?

Kelkil - please never shut the bar, we would track you down to your house and make you serve us drinks there (after first stripping you of your shirt, of course!). Could I have something warming please? It's still bloddy cold here!

Morning all,

still manic at work but not on support so stealing a couple of moments to say hey.

Off to post assignment at lunch and feeling smug as got the first draft of the second part of my novel that Ems is so surprisingly positive about finished. Sixty thousand words down and another thirty or so to go, then a proper draft to do and so on, you ought to be very careful with such offers Ems or you'll be drowning in more paperwork than you already get from school.

How manic at work, I have been typing this over the last three hours.

I need a drink, Kel, a pint of Guiness and a Fettercairn chaser please.

It was a totally serious offer. It sounds like exactly the sort of novel I love to read. It would be such a relief to have something literate and intelligent to read. I am a flexible reviewer as well, with a little guidance as to what your looking for I can either be good for makig encouraging noises, picking out typos or suggestions for sentance structure, up to opinions on characterisation, style and theme. I love seeing works in progress (I guess it's the nosey parker in me - I get a glimpse of the creative process even when I'm too busy to indulge in it myself!), so drop me a line any time.

So, who else is around to distract me today? I have to go to interview prospective students in a minute. I'll let you know how scary next years' crop look in a little bit!
