As a charter member of the " Haters " Club, I'd like to point out that this bill was intended solely to be a stimulus package, to re-ignite the
economy. This is by no means the entire Federal Budget. Items in this bill should be strictly limited to vital areas, and not some gorram laundry list of things " to do ". Taking $$ out of this bill wouldn't mean that there'd be ZERO $$ for say.... food stamps or painting up old class rooms. Those issues should be dealt with in a seperate manner, and a different bill. Things need to be discussed, and not rammed down the throats of the American people, in one massive chunck.

That speaks to me, that is my world view = we're all pretty ridiculous.

It really is one of those "mysteries" of the universe isn't it, that within basically 1 month of coming and going, 2 presidents from opposing parties have each run up 2, nearly 1 trillion dollar invoices. And both were in a hurry.

As to the ramming... the strategy for both sides has been for some time that it's easier to pass one big lump than to have to push every one of these out seperately.

I don't know about 10 billion...but one billion to fund the next 9 sequels to Serenity. That seems reasonable to me.

I'm adding it to my platform for when I run for office next year. Jobs, tax cuts, war on terror, and Firefly.

I could use some campaign contributions...perhaps we could start FireflyPAC...
