Let Us Use Real Numbers To Plot Our Advance

For the last two Mondays, tvtally weekly numbers have not rolled over to zero. But instead what showed up was larger numbers, with Jericho in the lead. Many other shows got numbers other than zero. Dunno what the cause is. It apparently does not have any effect on the overall vote.. Thus we gained on Jericho in both weeks when this happened. Meanwhile, I will change the way stats are kept in this report. The grand totals will be used, as these have not been affected by the buggy weekly rollover.

At TVTally "Best Shows", it's Jericho 43958 (43919 yesterday), Firefly 41686 (41565 yesterday). We are down 2272 (2354 yesterday). We gained 84 votes on Jericho in the last 24 hours.

Overall the total vote at the beginning of the week is Jericho 43919 (43475 last week), Firefly 41565 (40997 last week) We are 2354 behind, versus 2478 a week ago. A year ago, we were ahead. Over the last few weeks, we have been closing the gap.

If you turn off cookies on your browser, when you go to TVTally, you can vote up to six times (and for one show). You can also vote more than once in six hours (unpredictable, tends to happen early in the day, and after 6 PM). Some consider this cheating, some don't. Either you're a cookie monster, or you ain't.

At BBC today we are; Serenity 41.40% Star Wars 29.86% Blade Runner 17.32% Planet of the Apes 1.84% The Matrix 9.57% 42084 Votes Cast

In the last 24 hours we got EIGHTEEN votes. And most of them appear to be browncoats. Nice.

On December 1st it was; Serenity 40.95% Star Wars 30.10% Blade Runner 17.46% Planet of the Apes 1.86% The Matrix 9.64% 41703 Votes Cast

On November 1st it was; Serenity 40.66% Star Wars 30.24% Blade Runner 17.54% Planet of the Apes 1.87% The Matrix 9.69% 41471 Votes Cast

Back on September 5th it was Serenity 39.53% Star Wars 30.83% Blade Runner 17.87% Planet of the Apes 1.90% The Matrix 9.87% , with 40635 Votes Cast

Level 2 Snow Emergency vump!
An inch of ice everywhere & folks act like it'd be dangerous to drive. Haven't they seen Ice Road Truckers? Yeah sure those guys are driving mostly on frozen lakes 'n 'round here's rolling hills. Pish posh.

I just took my dog outside to go to the bathroom and I see it is snowing here in Vermont. It is old hat to us here, and in many ways snow is a blessing for us, because it adds ground water in the Summertime, but more importantly when it is snowing it can't get really cold. To most that may seem like a stupid statement, but traditionally in Vermont February is the coldest month where our temperatures could dip into the negative 40s. I remember one February shortly after the Mount St. Helens eruption where the temperature reading on our thermometer read negative 50 and stuck there for the entire month during days and nights. We thought out thermometer was broken, but when March rolled around things started getting warmer, and our thermometer showed it. According to Vermont state record I don’t believe it ever got that cold here in Vermont, but I don’t think they took their readings from the side of a mountain in Tunbridge, Vermont, and we really had no way of telling how much of that temperature was real and how much was wind chill factor, because our thermometer had nothing like a barometer or anemometer. Any ways, back to the point if it is snowing it has to be within a temperature band where it is cold enough for the humidity to freeze on its way down and warm enough where the cold won’t remove all humidity from the air. February is about to roll around the corner and we’ll see how it is. I think most of us are hoping it will be like last Year’s where it was a mild and very snowy month, but I suspect and fear it will be bitter cold. At least we have lots of snow on the ground so our wells won’t freeze like they did all those many years ago.

Even with spikes most people are idiots and you will have a mess,...you should see it here(denver) when it rains!!!
I pray for snow, 'cause they can't handle rain. STUPID isn't it?

No spikes, they used chains. Speaking of which, I s'pose I should order m'self a pair.
The snow tires on my pickup work great (especially with that 500# of sand bags I put over the back axle), but without 4x4 uphill needs a bit more bite for the back end.
Illegal here in Ohio, but I don't plan on using 'em except rare occasions & when I do How're you gonna catch me without using your own?
