It is 4:08 am Monday January 26th, 2009 and when I went to bed last night we at Firefly had a small lead over Jericho. Now the lead is not only gone but we are nowhere on the poll. Last week someone must have hacked the website at tvtally.com because last Monday morning the numbers did not roll back to zero and Jericho began the week a few hundred votes ahead of Firefly and all of the other shows. We overcame their despairing lead though perseverance and on Sunday night we had a small lead over Jericho, but again the numbers early on this Monday morning did not roll back to zero and Jericho has a lead of a few hundred votes. The only difference from last week is that Firefly is not on the poll. I am not going to participate in tvtally.com’s poll anymore until this if fixed, and will only go back there to post a protest.

The quirky rollover apparently doesn't have any impact on the total vote. Thus we gained over a hundred votes on Jericho last week (the small gain you noted, plus the hundred or so votes we started behind on the botched roll over last week.)

What appears to be happening is that the autmatic roll over is some how inserting a mid-week vote stat from some past time (like when the Miracles fans were making an effort.)

However, bottom line is that this bug is not changing the actual votes added to the overall totals each time anyone votes. If we are lucky, the Jericho fans will not notice this, and be lulled into not voting as much. That's apparently what happened last week.

I thought it was funny that the most recent Jericho board comment asked about TV Tally, "Is Firefly playing again?" Like yeah, we're going to rig the board so we're 250 votes behind! At least your comment puts it in a little more positive light for us.

Also, the Stargate poll is looking a whole lot better than a couple of weeks ago. We've added a good bit to what was a dwindling lead.

Weirdness Continues, As Does Our Advance

For the last two Mondays, tvtally weekly numbers have not rolled over to zero. But instead what showed up was larger numbers, with Jericho in the lead. Many other shows got numbers other than zero. Dunno what the cause is. It apparently does not have any effect on the overall vote.. Thus we gained on Jericho in both weeks when this happened. Cue the Twilight Zone theme.

At TVTally "Best For The Week", it's Jericho 490 (680 yesterday), Firefly 259 (683 yesterday).

Overall the total vote at the beginning of the week is Jericho 43919 (43475 last week), Firefly 41565 (40997 last week) We are 2354 behind, versus 2478 a week ago. A year ago, we were ahead. Over the last few weeks, we have been closing the gap.

You can also vote more than once in six hours (unpredictable, tends to happen early in the day, and after 6 PM). Some consider this cheating, some don't.
