Seraphim Falls .

Wow. What a good, strange western. Buy or rent this one immediately. The less you know about it, the better.
I will say it stars that Liam Neesan & Pierce Brosnan (spelling doesn't count after 3 beers, I heard it said), and it is an amazing movie.

Go for it. And if you don't believe me, look up a review, but don't read the spoiling-ness.

I'll have to look for it.

Anyone ever seen The Proposition? I'm intrigued by it, because the script was written by Nick Cave (of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds). He says he wrote it in three days. Supposedly, it has some of the same dark twists as a lot of his music.

Hey Mike, you seen The Quick & The Dead by Sam Raimi? That was exceptionally cool (IMO), but not as affecting as Seraphim Falls.

Seraphim Falls huh? And stars a couple of damn talented Irishmen? I must look this up. I'm a sucker for quirky films and westerns both.

Cheers CiA (nice...that worked really well...)

I actually set this to record a few days ago, solely because it has Liam Neeson, glad to know it's good, and I'll definitely give it a watch soon now.

And now you mention it, I've got to see Quick and the Dead too.

On a seperately but somewhat related (to Sam Raimi) note, I watched 'My Name is Bruce' the other night...and was slightly disappointed.

true. I guess after the amazing Evil Dead films and his hilarious books (if you haven't read his books,
they're rather amusing, although the audio books where he reads them are even better, and great for long journeys),
I guess I was just expecting a much funnier film where he poked lots of fun at himself and B movies,
although there were quite a few funny scenes.

Sep Falls got it a couple of years ago for 5 bucks at the Big W. Yes sir not a bad flick. Don't know if everone would like this flick. A turn of the century western with Sam Elliot and Jerry O'Connell called The Ranger the Cook and a Hole in the Sky. Kinda of Disney feel but a family film with a westen americana about it. I liked it. Looken for off beat Johnny Depp Deadman or Three Burials with Tommy Lee. One of the best cowboy style flicks was back in 95 with Jeff Bridges Wild Bill now I thought that was a good one. Oh yeh check out some those Tom Selleck cowboy films. I've enjoyed them their actually pretty good. Last Stand at Sabre River.

"Battle of Serenity, Mal. Besides Zoe here, how many-" "I'm talkin at you! How many men in your platoon came out of their alive".

I like me's a good western. Will be checking this one out.

Oh and not to derail the topic I saw Forbidden Kingdom and really liked it. Jackie and Jet were great together and the action and fun were superb. The lad kind of reminded me of Shia LeBouf.
