Hi,

As the title says I'm looking for a game, preferably one with an original crew (I just don't do Mal, Zoe & co any justice when I write them).

I would really love to find a game that puts a fair amount of emphasis on writing as it is what I enjoy; short snippets here and there just don't do it for me.

If you have a game out there that you think I might fit into or are interested in starting one, then please let me know.

Lastly, I'd also be interested in finding a writing partner if the idea of writing an original story appeals to any folk. Sometimes it's nice to have another mind to bounce ideas off. :)

I do have a game you might be interested in. It's Serenity, set after the BDM, and I am looking for people to play everyone but Kaylee and River. But I am also looking for original characters, especially Alliance officers or "villains." If you want to take a look, go to http://s15.invisionfree.com/RPG_Arena.

I also have a couple of other games there, one based on the GhostWalker series of novels by Christine Feehan, and an original time travel one based loosely on Sliders and Quantum Leap. Neither of those are up right now, since I can't keep players. In fact I just started the Serenity one up again about a month ago.

No problem. In response to the second part of your message, I'd be happy to be someone you could "bounce ideas off of." I'm like you, I love to write, and I have a great many games I'm part of. But I'll also do the occasional writing by email with one other person. Let me know if you're interested and what you like to write about.

We're more "roleplay for writers", and don't directly cohere to the "Official" Firefly RPG book, so be prepared for a whole new 'verse. We have Serenity flying, but also a number of other ships with original crews.

Ah yes, I would recommend the Big Damn Verse also. In fact, I've registered, just haven't done anything with it--yet. But I would recommend it, it's a good game, lots of possibilities. I wish I had their success.

I do, I'm in the ditching stage now, something I occasionally do cause I have about 20 games. This is where I ditch the ones that are either not active or I'm being ignored, etc. Right now I'm ditching 3 games, and the plan is not to get involved in another game. But you know I want to join your game, and I want to join. Before I really join, I need to work on my bio, since I don't think you all would like the Dahlia bio I use.

Escape Velocity: Firefly is writing-heavy. It uses the EV Nova engine, after all!

Although the player is Mal, the game is set prior to the TV show, during the "six years". So there are a lot of original characters. In Part 1---which is done story-wise except for editing of side stories---Mal and Zoe are the only familiar regulars.

Part 2 will begin to introduce more of the gang, but there's lots of uncharted stories there that will need to be helped with!

Are you interested in a real-time roleplay? We run a game that takes place five years after the events of Serenity, with an emphasis on original characters and crews. I think it would be perfect for you!

Because the game is real-time, RPs go quite a bit faster than they typically do in play-by-post games. It can get a bit intense at times, but that's what makes it fun!
