Mal=Malcom Reynolds
Licious=short for delicious

meaning I think Nathan Fillion is yummy,or: Mal is delicious!

(alternatively, Mal=bad and licious=tasty. Bad and tasty! Kind of like a naughty treat.)

Mal-licious

Glad I'm not the only one being unimaginative and using my initials. It's kind of my nickname too. I was just thinking the other day that I should think up a new name. Anyone got any ideas they're not using?

i have been thinking about it today. i think you should pick something that is dear to your heart and not worry about it being closely related to Firefly (that may be sacrelige to say here, but many firefly-related names are already taken!).

Finn Mac Cumhal, (pron. Fin Mahk Coo’al)

Finn Mac Cumhal, in Irish Mythology, was the last leader of the Fianna, a band of elite free Irish warriors who served the High King of Ireland in pre-Christian Ireland. The adventures of Finn and the Fianna were recorded in the 12th Century by Irish bards in what is today called the Fenian Cycle, but the stories date to the 3rd century.

There are many stories; most of them rather fantastical, about Finn, but little hard evidence. The most important source for the Fenian Cycle is a 15th century manuscript called ''Acallamh na Sen rach,” which is derived form an older source from the 12th century. The actual story is older still then that, as it records conversations between the last surviving members of the Fianna and presumably St Patrick. Like the King Arthur stories, Finn is believed to be a real historical person, but centuries have obscured the reality and left us only with the legend.

Two of the most eminent Irish legends compose part of the Fenian cycle, the Toraigheacht Dhiarmada agus Ghrainne, and the ever famous Tir na nOg.

Mine is fireflywildcard1:

Firefly...cuz I like Firefly.

Wildcard...forgot the "s" so it would be Wildcards after the 58th squadron in Space Above and Beyond.

1...cuz these are my favorite Fox TV shows and both were cancelled during/after their first season.

Pretty boring really.

Huh... woulda thought it was the word malicious (with the obvious mal connection)

:P

Mine.. well DUH!!! ;)
I've used Another ___ fan pretty much everywhere, it works quite well.

But my AIM screenname (which anyone is free to contact, I'd like to add more browncoats to my buddy list) ReptilianSamurai has a bit more back story to it. My favorite group is Oingo Boingo, and one of their songs is Reptiles and Samurai. I kept trying for screennames on AIM, and all kept being taken until this one. So, ReptilianSamurai stuck... I later named my website ( http://reptiliansamurai.0catch.com ) after it as well, because I couldn't think of anything better... and now there's a little animation to go with it too!

Well I tried to make it red shamrock or blue shamrock but they were already taken so it became black. The shamrock came from me loving everything that is Ireland and 5 is my favorite number not the most creative but it works.

Shamrock

For me, Paladin is my default alias for just about everything. This has been going on for about 8 years now.

I originally got the name from a Magic: the Gathering card titled "Northern Paladin." It was a decently powerful card with low sumoning cost. I mainly just liked the name and picture. Later that same year I became a roelplayer at the local Ultrazone (lazer tag place). I had to choose a name to go by, Northern Paladin was too many letters so I shortened it to Paladin and the rest is history. Unfortunately, I have since lost the card somewhere in the dark recesses of my room.

“El Frenetico & Go Girl” is my favorite superhero team from some straight to video “movies” I worked on years ago. El-Frenetico is a washed up alcoholic Mexican wrestler / crime fighter who is always dubbed. He would spend his days at the bar if not for his hero-worshiping sidekick Go-Girl who motivates him and does most of the actual work. I’d have a picture of him in my title if I knew how to import it here.

Mine comes from a 1980's parody film assembled by members of the Firesign Theater. The Film was called "J-Men Forever", and it was a collection of clips from old Republic Studio's movie serials, with newly dubbed comedy voice-overs. The Commando Cody/Rocketman character was renamed "Rocket Jock", which tickled me; my mundane initials are R.J., which fits too.
