What kind of jacket does the Captain wear?

Prob an original made by the costume dept. It is cool though. The length is nice and its got the slits in it so his holstered weapon handle is exposed and within reach.

Your post reminded me of a Futurama episode:

Professor: This is an outrage, hand over your Captain's Jacket!!!

Leela: This is my own jacket, I've had it for ten years.

Professor: I said hand it over!

I watch too many cartoons. :D

Mal's jacket still reminds me of Battlestar Galactica for some reason.
