This thread, is inspired by the Teela Brown... thread. I want to know if there is a "history" behind some of your screen name things. Like why they are what they are. Some are fairly obvious (Herofcanton and captaintightpants are two i can think of off the top of my head, sorry if i didn't spell them right) but others arn't. Like mine. I'm Ebonezer because my horse's name is Ebony. One day (around christmas a few years ago) one of my barn rat freinds started calling him Ebonezer Scrooge. The Ebonezer part stuck and I've been using it as my name deal ever sense.
So yeah, all you people who have screennames with stories, i want to hear what they are.

I chose the name DarkJester because I love dark comedy. I've been told I have a rather twisted sense of humor, though there are a few on this board that I'd say the same (or worse!) about!
MAL "You only gotta scare him."
JAYNE "Pain is scary..."

E. C. Gordon is a character in a novel - Glory Road - written by my favorite author, Robert A. Heinlein. I have used it, or a variation of it, on a lot of other message boards, including my own ezboard.

I've been using Howdyrockerbaby1 for about 5 years now. at first it was rockerbaby from a tv show that i'd liked, but that was quite often taken up. the reasons for having the name now are different then they were
now:
Howdy=i say it alot
rocker=love rock music
baby=i'm the baby of my family
1=because i'm number 1! nah..not really

MAL: This is my scrap of nowhere. You go on and find your own.
SAFFRON: You can't just leave me here, on this
lifeless piece of crap moon...
MAL: Sure I can.
SAFFRON: I'll die.
MAL: Well, as a courtesy, you might start
getting busy on that, cause all this chatter ain't doin' me any kindness.

Mine is simple: Annik is a misspelling of the name of a Canadian communication satellite. I teach communication (applied writing, grammar, etc.) to computer technology students at at Canadian college, so it seemed a goodly choice.

Cheers,

Our farm is called Wild Heaven Farm, but that leaves the question of where I got that name from. Thing is, I'm not exactly sure. One day, it occurred to me that I wanted a farm and simultaneously I started singing the REM song "Near Wild Heaven".

Well, R stands for Richard and K stands for Kenneth and Lenseth is my last name.
So rklenseth is just a shorten version of my full name which is Richard Kenneth Lenseth. Pretty simple.
Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

My real name is Barbara, which comes with a whole slew of obvious nicknames (Barb, Babs, Barbie and every doll of the franchise you can think of
). Way back in the 8th grade, a couple friends decided that they wanted their own personal nickname for me and came up with Bibsy. One of them never used the name again after that particular gym class, but the other one used it all the way through college. He was only the one who called me Bibsy until, sometime toward the end of my college life, I adopted it for my email address. Since then, a good many of my friends have taken to calling me Bibsy, and I've found that it makes for a good, usually not already claimed screen name.

I just get this picture in my head of you walking down the street, stoping suddenly, grabbing the first person you see by the shoulders and shouting, "A farm, man! I want a farm!" Then walking cheefuly down the road whistling "Near Wild Heaven."
Just thought I should share. Have fun with the farm by the way.
