While I can't say it's my all time favorite I'll toss Silverado into the mix because no one else has mentioned it. Great cast and the movie transitions from silly to deadly serious as well as any film I've ever seen.

1. Little Big Man - big sweeping movie that was more human and honest about the tragedies of our history than most westerns up to that point. And it still had plenty of humor.

BTW Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was on the History channel last night in HD...awesome.

Very good movie and it launched Kevin Costner's career after being totally cut out of "The Big Chill".
I love it as he backs out of the saloon door (on a corner)and gets the bad guys, one on each side of the building.
