So when the next natural disaster or "terrorist attack" hits and the jackboots come to "save the day"...by taking away your guns of course....

What will you do?

As for me, I would get the hell out of there, if possible. Fully armed of course.

But if I HAD to stay....quick and quiet to stay ahead of the lawless gangs, both legal and illegal.

The fact that a rational adult actually thought that if a civil war broke out, the military would just sit it out....

The paranoia (and patented "I'm not a bigot, I just don't like colored folk" style bigotry) on display is unsurprisingly extreme.

The truth is that if we must fight, it will be ALL of us, regardless of color, creed, or religion.

We are all Americans, remember? Despite our differences, a tyrannical government is something we can ALL fight against.

You can have 20,000 military forces, who are already on the payroll, already have training, already have equipment and transport available, and who can be deployed in military roles overseas as needed.

Or

You have 20,000 additional civilian forces who need to be paid, equipped, and provided wth transportation, and sit around doing nothing until a disaster local resources can't deal with occurs. And even if this force is civilian, they're gonna have to have some sort of security component attached.
