yeah, ive read the twilight series @_@ and the movie looks like the director/screenwriter didn't do their job in trying to make it look good XD needless to say i'm steering clear.

NO i didnt have a gun on me @_@ I'm only just 20 so i can't have a permit *or* own/carry a gun yet -_- (course by the time i turn 21 guns will probably be outlawed @_@ *growls maliciously*)
I wanted to call animal control but i don't have the number for them >< and the bf kept telling me not to worry about it, even though he could have called and I wanted him to (i was driving, so i couldn't). Drove down that same road the next day though and the deer was gone, not on the side of the road or anything, so gladly it was taken care of.

Have you ever read the books?
If not, your opinion is irrelevant.
Let me see if I can bring this down to your level.... Think about what it would have been like if Firefly was a phenomenal best selling series of novels by Joss Whedon instead of a tragically short-lived television show. Then, if FOX decided to take those beloved novels and have one of their corporate hacks write a screenplay and give the director's chair to someone whose only experience was in "reality television" and a budget lower than the tragedy that was Serenity (minus anything near "good" special effects) - taking out all the substance, all the emotion, all the character development, everything that made it exceptional.... The imagined pain from that scenario? Nowhere near the devistation wrought upon the Twilight saga by this first movie.
I would gladly, gleefully re-live the cancellation of Firefly over and over and over than suffer the disappointment that was this movie.
(Now that I think of it, this would have made a brilliant television series instead of a set of movies... probably better than that one lame space western) ((sigh))
Still, as it stands, I would sell you all out in a heartbeat for the opportunity to have my very own Edward. ^^

Story of my life Sneaky Lass! XD
I had no prior knowledge of the books before the movie was being previewed but from the fact that all of the promo stuff was in the Lasses side of Hot Topic and on only 'tween girls I figured that the books were definatly not my cup of tea so to speak.

Exactly. Steph Meyer wrote the books very well, and they got a couple of hacks who don't know what they're doing to deal with the translation from book to screen, which is a tragedy. As I said before the previews *alone* were enough to make me cry for how badly they've wrecked it, and other people I know who've read the books agree.

Absolutely couldn't agree more. As a series it would have allowed more breathing room for the development and depth that went into the books, but of course, it's a little late for that. ><
