If it wasn't for "Babylon 5" paving the way to introduce sci fi OTHER than the various incarnations of "Star Trek" there would have been a dearth of new sci fi series even given the chance to air. And even if some of the toaster special effects aren't up to today's shiny standards they were cutting edge at the time along with the idea of having a five-year arc seeding clues for future episodes and interlacing storylines, something many other shows followed later even if they didn't attribute it to that wonderful seminal series. I don't follow the notion that in order to support one show you have to rubbish another. And much as I enjoy "Star Trek" I absolutely ADORE "Firefly"!

I don't think we're rubbishing anyone else. It's all in good fun. The truth be known, Firefly fans ARE the same people who are Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Babylon 5 fans.

Okay, I get the comic strip, but I don't make fun of Star Wars. I love Star Wars. Specificly, the original trilogy.
