Future for Mutant Enemy

Now that WB has laid to rest the last of Mutant Enemy's programs, rumors of spin-offs are starting to float around.

What would your ideal new Joss Whedon show be?

While it would be fun to explore an entirely new verse with Joss, personally, I'd love to see a Spike, Xander, and Andrew spin-off.

Well, there have been many rumors of Giles spin-off called Ripper, but so far nothing has surfaced. I also heard rumors of a spin-off w/ Willow, but have heard nothing new on that in awhile.

Personally I would like to see a new show w/ Willow, Xander, & Spike in it. You could have the occasional appearance by Giles, Angel, or any of the other regulars from Buffy or Angel on to boost ratings and draw all the fans to it.

There has been a Joss show on TV for so long, it is kind of sad that all three are gone now. TV land seems a pretty empty place without them. At least I can still catch Buffy & Angel reruns.

Can any UK fans confirm this? Supposedly they filmed Ripper during that period when Giles left and Willow turned Evil. ASH getting his cake and eating it too by being able to spend time with his family in England and still be able to work.

Before I left the Buffy ng (too spoilery and in-fighting-y), we suggested a spinoff starring with Spike & Faith, called Bloody Hell. This, of course, was long before the Buffy finale.

Now, I'd hope that any Buffyverse spinoff involves Illyria --she's just too good a character to leave adrift (and she'll almost certainly survive the Ultimate Fight, even if Angel and Spike don't).

I'm thinking of a zany comedy with Jayne as a cruise ship captain. Maybe get Buddy Hacket as the first mate. Just thinking out loud here -- let's work this people and see what we can come up with.

I heard fox bought them out. They're using the old Serenity set to do a new reality show based loosely on Gilligan's Island.

Please say you're joking.... Serenity.....used in reality tv.... NO!

But it just shows you how pisspoor television has become; a witty, intelligent series with heart is losing out to a reality tv show...

so, is universal and joss whedon going to have to rebuild the entire set or did they move it from fox?
