The stupid dog movie finished #1 again this weekend. It made $17.5 million.

I'd say several million people disagree with your assessment, which is why it's still at number one. Which was my point.
But if it makes you feel better...:
((ahem)) "SERENITY IS NOW THE AWESOMEST NUMBER ONE MOVIE IN AMERICA, EVER!"

I don't get why I'm on your shit list. Can you explain that to me? I try to start a thread, maybe dip my toe back in the community, see how things are going, and I get jumped. Think you could see your way clear to telling me what I did that pissed you off so profoundly?

Wow, you waffle back and forth quite a bit, don't you....
I didn't jump on you and I'm not "pissed off so profoundly"; in fact, aside from being mostly confused, I find this a bit amusing....
1) You posted a statement.
2) I merely pointed out why things might be the way they are; I honestly don't know how you can construe that as any sort of personal attack.
3) You get all crazy.
Is it the gray font? Is that what's throwing you? This really doesn't have to be this difficult, does it?
((completely confused))

The strategy here, near as I can figure it, is to identify a target's attempted re-entry into the community and be very subtly provocative. Feigned confusion makes the target appear to be churlishly unwilling to provide explanation; maintain this posture to provide justification for further maneuver. Wait for explanation and be subtly mocking. Make no move that would be obvious in its intent to belittle or harass, that way total deniability is maintained. In the event of protest, attack the target as touchy or childish, further isolating the individual from the community the target wishes to reengage. Any attempt on the target's part to request explanation will be met with further belittlement so as to make the target appear overly sensitive, paranoid or crazy. These aspects of the target's behavior will be repeated and amplified as necessary to paint the target as an unwanted threat to the community, thus further isolating the target from the community. Ideally, back the target into a corner from which the only escape appears to be lashing out, providing the entire line of attack with justification. Repeat as necessary until the target gives up and goes away, at which point the entire strategy becomes self-justifying.
If one wanted to regulate one's community so as keep unwanted individuals out, I imagine that this would be spectacularly successful.

O.o!
...ooookay.
There's nothing "feigned" about my confusion here.
Seriously, I am sincerely, honestly not understanding what was so wrong about what I said and why you're so upset about it. And I don't know how to convey that any better than I already have.
(Is there an honesty emoticon anywhere?)
I'll just leave you alone now so you can foster some horrible angry misconceptions about me, my alleged plot against you, and the forum in general so you can cling to that victim complex you got going on.
(Sorry I said anything about family movie viewing habits in America.) O.o
PS) Did I accidentally step into the RWED here??

I don't see very many movies per year, and have already seen the two movies I was looking forward to, which were Batman and Ironman. In my opinion Ironman ruled over Batman even though there were great aspects to Batman. I think that Batman simply made the mistake of having too many bad guys like Spiderman 3 did.

*sigh*
Nothing I can say at this point. Sorry all.

Edited to add: on a humorous note, at least the thread title remains appropriate.

For what it's worth, I feel 99% sure that I understand a.) the point of this thread and your original post, and b.) your irritation and utter nonplussed-ness with H.K.'s response, to which the term "passive-agressive" is one I find applicable. It's got the same general flavor as...
A: You suck.
B: What - why do you say I suck?!
A: Why, you big, over-sensitive silly - I didn't say you suck (even though you clearly do). I simply said you suck.
Though I think it's a bit tame for the situation at hand, I think the
emoticon sums it up pretty well.It was like it wasn't my battle but I couldn't resist when we got here!

Okay....
I don't know how to be more clear. I'm not being passive-aggressive. I'm not being pissed. I'm not trying to "get rid of" Causal. I'm not, in fact, "being" anything...! I just wanted to understand what the point was and how I missed it with one tiny comment about American family viewing habits. I have no idea how this devolved into me being a horrible, nefarious, passive-aggressive personality. I am honestly dumbfounded and I cannot be any more sincere...
I do not understand and am apparently incapable of understanding what you, Causal, are saying.
I apologize for saying anything in the first place.
