I just heard this phrase come out of my television: "Beverly Hills Chihuahua is now the number one movie in America!" Now, I ask you, what sort of world is this where I have to listen to that, but never got to hear the phrase, "Serenity is now the number one move in America"?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that BHC was as good as Serenity, but it was actually surprisingly good (well-written, for what it was).

Because a lot of families live in America, and a lot of those families have young children, so the parents of those young children decide to take them to see a light hearted funny story about a puppy instead of a bloody violent science fiction movie about government conspiracies and mass murder.

I don't see a problem here.

Have you seen Beverly Hills Chihauhua or the X-Files movie? I've seen 'em both, and although I was a fan of the series, BHC definitely deserves to make more than XF2. XF2 would have been--at best--a mediocre and quickly-forgotten episode. As a motion picture event, it was a complete disappointment.
