I too am on the Universal board and there are quite a number of regular posters from FFF.net over there, as from other boards too. You are right, there was a show of force to let Uni know that we are here and we are ready to spend cashy money to get more Firefly/Serenity. The Universal board was doing pretty well giving the fans hope until it was rumored that the actors contracts for a sequel to our BDM would run out in Sept.07 and there has been no affirmation from the company that there be more coming.
Since that time it has slowed a bit over there but there is still plenty going on. FFF.net was my first website fan community dealing with a tv show and the browncoats here are such good ppl that one can only feel welcomed and at home. I’m not a member on the OB but I’ve been there and know at the browncaots there have been around a long time and are very close to one another. I started on FFF.net so it’s my favorite although there are many, many Firefly fan sites so anyone new should be able to find someplace to call home.
In my estimation any new news ( which includes rumors) about FF/Serenity will make the rounds to all the boards. The FF/Serenity community isn’t just some little hole in the wall fan club, it’s a national community, a world community. Any news about FF/Serenity will at some point make it to every corner of the EARTH THAT IS, therefore there is still a lot of money to be made.
Bringitback you are doing the right thing by “Holding the line” and you will never be told not to. Hang in there, we’re coming up on a new year and you know with that there are always great possibilities.
