What are some good books to read?

OK OK I admit it, I haven't bought any of the books that go with Firefly or Serenity. I just started listening to the podcasts and in there they keep talking about the comic books. I went to order them and found a few other books. What would you recommend as follow up to Serenity?

The comic books and Visual Companions are awesome. FINDING SERENITY and SERENITY FOUND contain some very interesting perspectives on the Firefly/Serenity 'Verse and although I haven't played the RPG game, the book has inspired and is a handy reference for more than one fic writer, myself included.

I haven't RPed for a long time, but I kind of collect RPG material that interests me. I picked up the Serenity RPG, and I agree, it is an awesome resource to fans of the 'Verse. Quite a bit of extra info on planets, people and crews; the story planning section was really cool, the references to Firefly episodes throughout the text had me going, "Oh yeah, I remember that!", and then there's the great blueprints for a few ships, including Serenity :D! You couldn't pry this book from my icy corpsified dead hands!

The only written Firefly I have at the moment is the Serenity: Better Days comic series.

I was unsure about it as first, cuz I don't really like comics (manga's way betta), but I bought the first part because it was Firefly.

And I LOVED it!!

It really captures the feel of the TV show, while also producing something fresh and new.
I still have to get the third part (I'm sure it's already been and gone! ) but I'll order it if I have to, because these comics are so good.

And when we finally got the net I found out I'd missed out on Those Left Behind, and now I find that there's Firefly books out! I really need to get into the city more often!
