I feel like nothing has happened in a VERY long time.

No smidgen of news good or bad, no announcements of new comics, novels..

Not even a good old fashioned hope-lifting rumour of a sequel.

Time is still on our side, the fan numbers continue to grow..

I havent given up hope but I need something to keep me going.

So enlighten me fellow browncoats... What do I have to look forward to??

Well Bringitback I’m right there with you!

Being something of an optimist when it comes the all things FF I still do believe that we will get something and I do think it will be in film or video form. Now it’s just me, I have NOT, repeat NOT heard anything about anything , I’m only doing what I believe Joss has asked us to do when it come to getting more of the most entertaining show that was ever produced on the planet, that is “HOLD THE LINE”, but here’s a little something to speculate and start rumors on.

Adam Baldwin at ComicCon 2008. Panel for CHUCK’s new season 2. Adam talks about speaking to Joss backstage and also hints about a new movie but is cut off by another panel member before he can say very much. What movie was he about to refer to? Letting my imagination run wild guess what came to mind? The link;

Anyway , this occurs about three quarter the way through and it is a long vid so if you want to catch it it may take a bit of watching.

I don’t know, maybe someone on the board here knows what Adam was really talking about ( what movie) all I was hoping for is that with all the silence about our BDM & BDSeries that there may be something in the works. If there can be a Starship Troopers 2 & 3, there shouldn't be any reason not to hope for more FF.

I don't have any news,(God I wish I did), but I was an origional Star Trek fan, and I was one of the people who lobbied to get it back. IT TOOK OVER 10 YEARS, before TPTB finally listen. I think the sale of 'swag' is ONE of the biggest ways to get their attention, remember we didn't have the web then either. The sale of DVD's has always been a big factor, Joss said so. Remember, Joss needs a success(Dollhouse) to build his "power", and he said the sale of DVD's is very important. The economy is bad(you know that), studios are being very careful and we got a strike looming...patiently have hope.

I feel, due to our growing numbers, we will get more, and I pray to power of the 'verse(I am the chaplain of the 76th)to help us. HOLD!!! till the captain gets back...we've done the impossible, and that makes us mighty!

At least we have most of our BDH's all over TV and movies. I guess that counts for something.

I would like a definitive 'no' if its not going to happen...

That way we can start getting into novels, comics etc.

The fact that Joss hasnt gone down that road gives me a little hope

But I think if there was just even the slightest rumour again the browncoats would lift and we could make something happen.

I'm starting to feel this way. There has been only 3 canon releases since serenity, and the shepard comic doesnt look like its on its way for a while. Ive turned to fanfic to fill the void in my life, maybe you should try too.

First off, let me say that my fellow Browncoats are the best!

Bringitback, hope is all we got, so I say we hold until the Captain gets back.

Lots of stuff right here in this thread that I hope gets you revved up and in good spirits.
One thing that I think is crucial to getting our BDH back and that's the sales of the Blu-Ray version of the series.

If TPTB see that they could make large stacks of cashy money, well maybe they'll get the notion that if they make more movies or episodes.......they can make more embarassingly large stacks of cashy money.

We must set records to get their attention in this.

One of my strong beliefs is that we all need to unite under one site.

I know this brings Alliance connotations to some, but if we can focus our numbers in the one area we will be more effective in working together in bringing the verse back on the agenda.

I hate the idea of 30,000 browncoats not getting a message for a specific plan or rally because they were on the wrong site.

We can still do this people!

I will give up when Im told to...no one has told me to yet, so I hold.

...there is a problem with trying to get people together on one site. It won't happen, I don't know if you were here several months ago, Universal opened up a board, and people posted everywhere(most of us know where the other boards are)to get everybody over there so Uni would see that we are 'here'. Well tons of people went and signed up and we tried to keep the board busy, but it slowed down. I am #30 on the the members list over there, but THIS BOARD IS MY HOME. There in lies the problem, people are on the board that they feel 'at home' with. I am registered on 8-9 FF/S boards, but this one and the OB(origional board) are where I feel comfortable.
The ONLY board that would fit what you want is Whedonesque, Joss's board kinda, he does post there, but it's not 'his' persay.
We all know to check there...are you on Whedonesque? The regerstration is ONLY open on HOLIDAYS....check this coming Monday the 13th.
