Hey Ray,
I been on that site for three years, they will send you a daily email to remind you to click and donate. Here is another site for animals, it was started by a young girl(15), you answer(for fun) trivia questions and when you do, you donate free kibble, they have cat and dog both. anybody can do these, no regester or anything. Good find Ray!

You don't have to delete cookies for this to work. For months, I was perplexed why I was able to vote six times, every few hours. I discovered this by accident, when I double clicked on the vote icon, and saw two votes. So I clicked again. It turned out that one of the techs had set up my browser so that it did not save cookies from the tvtally site, but did from others (like this one, thus automatically logging me in). I few months ago, I got a new 64 bit PC (all our new custom software is 64 bit), and I set it up myself. All of a sudden, I could not vote six times per session. Hmmm, what's going on here. After fooling around a bit, I discovered that if you use a browser with cookies turned off, you get to vote more. Not a bug, but a feature.

Tvtally is not being maintained, but someone is paying the hosting bill, and the site is what it is. With cookies turned off, it's more votes for any voter. It doesn't take much to find out this feature, and since it can't be turned off, not using it hobbles your cause, while letting the competition race ahead. They can tell the difference between a bug and a feature.

The Jericho voters have known about deleting or disabling cookies for a long time (as evidenced in their own voting thread); so for that matter, have I, though I do not use it. In that way, they can each get more than the allotted 3 votes (for 3 different shows) every six hours. The poll is set up the way it is, and it is unfortunate that it is vulnerable to cheating, but for any single voter to use any means to vote more than once per 6 hours is cheating.

I don't play that game. I preferred to let the Rangers allow their votes to be compromised, and their position in the poll be tainted and invalidated. We could show up at #2, and look at our score, and know that, because of the other team's cheating, WE were the real winners, because we didn't use their tactics.

If Firefly voters are gonna start to cheapen our achievement by falling into the same rationalizations the Rangers have, then I'll just bow out of TV Tally, again. After all, ya don't need my puny handful of votes. I'll stick to the other polls, and do my best there, though I think Week in Whedon is corrupt, too.

Me too Rallem, I vote when I get to work, but then work happens and I forget to post. That happened tonight, I voted and then we had to re-print some forms that 2nd shift messed up.
