I did love Wash's line to Simon in "Serenity", that he always worries about Zoe, so worrying about Simon wasn't even out of his way. Struck a chord, being a worrier as I am.

You know, it just struck me, thinking about character interactions in Firefly...
It didn't matter who was interacting with whom - every time one of these people opened their mouths, something really GOOD came out.

My memory is a little fuzzy but I can not remember alot of on screen scene interaction between Kaylee and Zoe. Except when they are all together at the dinner table and the like.
