Of course you can have a piece... I had to make do with frozen cherries as they are out of season but it came out pretty good:)
And the leftover cherry syrup made excellent martinis:)

I can't believe I spent so much time reading about cherry pies and lieing cakes.
If a cake wants to sit, walk, or just lie there I have no complaints.
No a donut is a different subject. It is pure enjoyment that can be found covered in iceing and even filled with an intense sugar laced creme.
