How much would it take to buy the rights of Firefly/Serenity from 20th century fox?
Guesses anyone?
Why doesn't Joss do it himself?

This has been asked over and over, in the several Millions...BUT F*X WON"T SELL!
Also, Fox owns "Firefly" not "Serenity", Universal owns that.
Joss doesn't have that kind of money, and once you have the rights where will you get the millions needed to MAKE it?
...if someone could win the lottery...(a very big lottery)

Quote:It would take more money than Joss has, even if 'Fox was interested in selling. People have been asking this question for going on about 6 years, now. If Joss could have, he might have by now, don'tcha think?

Rumor has it, though, that the rights to the television version will expire in the next few years or so. But, who am I to believe in rumors? Also, there may be other contractual obligations that prevents Joss from going to other networks without 'Fox having the first rights of refusal, as it were.
Who knows the mind of Hollywood. The Television industry is brutal and insane.
Still, we live in hope. ^^
