Barack Obama has put out an ad attacking John McCain because he "can't send an e-mail".

Obama and his campaign team are idiots. Because, if they had done the research then they would know that John McCain can't use a keyboard because of the horrific torture he received as a POW during the Vietnam War.
As explained in the Boston Globe in March of 2000:
"McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes."

Weird - I know quadriplegics who can send e-mails and use computers. I guess McCain's just too old to learn how to use new technology... But don't worry; his latest wife will still be there to help send e-mails for him and change his diapers.

I feel that politicians are grasping at straws to be offended nowadays.
In fact, this thread might as well read:

While it might be cute in a luddite sort of way to have a relative who is not technologically up to date - by no means should one accept a presidential candidate who isn't.

Hello,
I find it hard to imagine a situation that the president should find himself in, where he is in desperate need of an email and no one is available to help him.
It is enough that he knows what computers are and what they can do. I do not require that he personally operate them, as he will not personally need to.
As disqualifiers for power go, computer skills are not even on my radar.
