OMG! Wasn't that awesome!?!?! I fell on the floor laughing...
and of course they had to use, and repeat, the 'pissing you off' phrase.
LOL

Quote:I think it'll be Sarahs ex boyfreind/ EMT, but the sad truth is Cameron and Sarah are not in T3. Sarah & Cameron will die, when only the writers know.

yeah, I thought they said at Comic Con that someone wouldn't survive the year...
so I wasn't expecting any deaths until next Spring.

I don't have tv but I've watched the premiere three times on fox.com and it is better each time. Summer is just awesome, as usual, even her damaged walk is well done.

Every hour of Summer Glau is a precious gift from above. I am thrilled with this show's success. Now maybe there might be 100's of future hours of Summer. I thought her performance was physically and emotionally amazing.

Here's a great article on the show :

I liked that John stood up to Sarah, when she ordered Cameron to be destroyed. She raised John to be the leader Kyle Reese said he would be, so she shouldn't be surprised he's going to be making his own decisions more and more.
I liked that scene, almost as much as the similar cut scene in T2, when Sarah goes to smash the Arnold's T-100 chip, and he angrily shouts "how am I supposed to be this great leader, if I can't even get my own mother to listen to me!"
We need to see John growing into the leader we know he becomes, so scenes like this are great!
I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

A fantastic episode. What a great opener.
I'll split my reply into sections.
After the explosion

When Cameron was walking with the limp into the house and all the way through that scene her expression never changed. And I loved the way she walked with the damaged leg. It was brilliantly done by Summer who made it look like she walking normally but was just unable to. Not like a human who would be in agony.
John and Sarah

I think it was pretty clear from the first look that Sarah gave John that he killed the guy to save his mother. And it is nice to see him start to become the man he will be. Previews of later episodes hint that we will see more of this.
And is this the first time we see him threaten someone with a gun?
Cameron's chip

I actually disagree with the above posts about this situation. The first self-diagnostic Cameron did indicated that the chips integrity was damaged. This sent her off to terminate John. She was attempting to kill John when she was trapped between the vehicles. Then when she was under threat she started crying that she was alright. That's one hell of a sudden change around to go from a killer to normal in a few seconds.
No, I think Sarah was right she was telling John what he wanted to hear to save herself, knowing him as well as she does she knew that she could plant doubt in his mind.
Then when he switches Cameron back on she identified John and initially it flashed to terminate him but then she overrode the progamming. I think she deliberately chose not to kill him. It wasn't that she's repaired herself but more that she'd reprogrammed herself.
Part of my reasoning on this comes from the fact that he had killed her, he'd stopped her, and then he still brought her back to life. In her advanced 'brain' she must be wondering why he did this. This is further hinted at by her comments on the resurrection of Jesus, something she was obviously thinking about regarding her own 'resurrection'.
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
The urinal

It was pretty obvious that the guy was being watched/listened to but I was thinking a hidden camera or microphone. And then she morphed. What a great surprise that they brought the T-1000 in, but a very nice touch.
Who will die?
Select to view spoiler:
John can't die. Sarah's in the title of the show so it's not her. Cameron is too popular and central to the show. Derek apparently is a fave but I don't think it's him. He'll die in later seasons. Cromartie is a no as they've established him as the main baddie Terminator. That leaves Ellison and Charley. Ellison is still too important I think and has a bigger part to play yet so that unfortunately leaves Charley and his death will provide a major tregedy for Sarah and John, something to leave them in a bad way.
If I had one minor complaint about the episode its that I wish they had taken two episodes to resolve Bad Cameron. It would have been nice to see her damaged longer in a relentless pursuit using the information she has about them to track them.
But that's a minor fault. Maybe one day 'she'll be back'.

The "Who will die" question is meant to be fuzzy for the fans but some of the recent (separate) interviews sort of make me worry. In one interview, someone (not a cast member) says that, yes, someone will die and that character knows about it. In another interview, Thomas says someone will die but they are keeping it secret, to which Summer replies, "I know".

Now we all know that death in the Whedonverse is not always permanent, and technically Cameron did die (again) when John pulled her chip. I guess the question is, can a robot die?
