DAMN, I wish I was going. Would everyone do me a favor and keep an eye out for my partner Spikeserenity? She's about 6'2, brown hair, very pretty and will probably be following James Marsters around with her tounge dragging the floor and making funny gurgling noises (for her sake it's a good thing Sean Maher anf John Barrowman won't be there-it could be a real problem). She also has one of my Firefly sets for autograph purposes. Hopefully she will see this and post a picture.

And that'd be me he's talking about. My husband and I will be arriving Thursday afternoon and leaving sometime on Sunday. He's a little freaked out about the whole thing, totally taking me as a present and not his cup of tea. We're both DC virgins by the way!!

Here's the pic that was requested!

And, yes, I will most likely be trailing after James Marsters like a slobbering fool...what's wrong with that? :)

I'm lookin' forward to seein' everyone again. I haven't been very active on the board in months, but I remember a lot of you (TRM, Pez, Lissa, several others) and can't wait to party with y'all again.

I'm bringing beer (homebrew) and cookies. :D

Yeah because it was believed that AIDS was contracted from the monkeys. Not the band but the animal. And we just wanted to deal with that issue - just a couple of points. Just changing the attitude towards AIDS from being "Eww AIDSy" to more like "Oh! Fun monkey disease"

Ah, Pez, it'll be like old times.

As I recall, ThatWeirdGirl took part in that same scavenger hunt and she ALSO posed in a strawberry picture.

Her interpretation was closer to the iconic Kaylee version.

Thanks for a very useful tip, Jongsstraw! I suspect they might just have started that last year or the year before, 'cause I wasn't aware of it any of the years we actually waited in line for events. I'll have to pass that along to some folks!

In all honesty I must quantify that advice a bit....I've never been to DCon, so I'm not 100% sure about the "virtual line" thing, but I did attend both FX Int'l.Con & Megacon this year in Orlando, and both shows had them set up. I don't see why DC wouldn't have the same. It's better for the actors also, because they get people coming up to them that are are "fresh" and excited, not leg-weary and exhausted. The advice about buying Convention tix in advance is from first-hand experience. Took me 2 hours to get into Megacon...never again.

Oog.
