He was as good as Craig is, I guess, I just thought Dalton was especially excellent in Rocketeer, and he cracked me up in Looney Toons Back In Action.

BTW, I got Remington Steele's 2nd season yesterday, and man I forgot all the Bond-y stuff they did back then- it's so much fun!!!

For me, Timothy Dalton will always be Prince Barin. I loved him so...

I didn't hate him and he was certainly better than George Lazenby, but he's no where near as good as Pierce.

Oh I did love him in the Rocketeer:)

Bondwise there's Connery, and then there's Brosnan...they didn't get Clive Owen to take up after Brosnan, so barring any unknown quantities, I'm pretty much done with Bond, but, I do have lots of eps of Steele to re-discover, and that's the next best thing IMO!

Ah, Remington Steele. One of my all-time favorite shows. I've got the entire DVD series.

As soon as it came out on DVD, I started getting them and watching them. I was glad that the show didn't come across as really stupid so many years later!

My fantasy (if I win millions in the lottery) car is that Auburn.... sigh.

What season's your favourite?
I felt that the first season was kinda tame compared to the rest, and I don't remember much from the last season- was it as good as the ones before?

Dalton had the darker edge like Craig does. I actually think that his films 'failed' more because the audience and critics were not ready to accept a darker Bond than in the films themselves. Especially for License To Kill.

Dalton is also excellent in Hot Fuzz. A masterclass in how to eat up every scene he's in with a smack of the lips. Delicious.

I absolutely adored that show when I was a kid, and if I remember correctly it wasn't even on in English here! it was dubbed and it was still really cool!
Somehow the tone of shows back then was just different. Quite a surprise to watch them again though!! Watched MacGyver again the other day... I never noticed back then how he was running through girls and that the girls are all totally useless! I just loved the story! Ah, for the return of the innocence of youth!! :)

If you have Hulu.com where you are, watch a second season show- it's still great!

Nice to meet ya mate, I don't think I've had the pleasure before.
