I never thought of that. All my fanfiction were written in story format. Much more easier to write I bet.

Yep, we've got almost 30 episode-length scripts completed (finished up Season One with 7 more episodes, and currently have 20 of 22 episodes for Season Two).

Prose is indeed easier to write than script format because there are less constraints. However, I've found that since Whedon's Firefly episodes all follow those constraints, fanfic in script format can often "feel" more like authentic Firefly than that in prose.

I've written a couple fan fiction short stories for Harry Potter and started writing my own version of book 7 before J.K. Rowling came out with hers, but I only got up to chapter 6 and left it alone because then Deathly Hallows came out. I wanted to start writing a fan fiction story of Firefly but all the good ideas I have I am incorporating into my plan for a sci fi series on television. My plan is to make a one season show about a small group of men in a space station.

I do. I find prose fic doesn't work that well for "natural", since it was originally a scripted medium. At least writing them down gets them out of my head.

Although I've juet started writing fics and haven't uploaded anything besides a poem. Yeah, I like to write in script form, makes it feel more official.
