I like the way "30 Rock" does product placement - they manage to put the stuff front and center, AND they make fun of it at the same time. :)

Nathan dead! What the hell?! A lot of people might not care for him but like Reggie Jackson he is the straw that stirs the drink. So who will be the antagonist now? Surely not Thorn, she can't hold a candle to Stark. And what about the great back and forth between him and Carter? That interaction will be hard to replace. I don't often say this when a character dies but I'm hoping for some hokey comeback for Stark. After all, he did "die" due to a space time mishap. It wouldn't be so far fetched if he were to come back.

On topic, though... I don't mind the product placements. They're making fun of them by actually incorporating it into the show, as well as assuring they *actually* have corporate sponsors for the show. I'd hate to see a show as nifty as Eureka go down the tubes because of funding issues.

I find it irritating as hell, if I see another Degree sign in a town that's supposed to have a bunch of people paying for nothing, I'm gonna write a strongly worded letter to the SCI-FI channel and tell them to kick more funding "Eureka"'s way.
