Events in LA in August?

I'm leaving for LA in 2 days...
I'll be staying there for the whole month of August, do you know if there's any interesting Browncoat event scheduled?

I'm a member of the LA Browncoats yahoo group, and so far, I haven't heard anything. According to a Meetup group listed for LA Browncoats, they are having their monthly dinner and chat sort of Shindig on Aug 7th. I am not a member, and haven't heard anything about it through the yahoo group, so I don't have any details. I may or may not join up at the last moment and go, but you could go here to find more:

I checked out the meetup group out of curiousity, and it's meeting on the 7th at Four and Twenty Restaurant. I thought it was worth mentioning because it's actually in my neighborhood, and it's kind of a shabby little place, but the pie is AMAZING. I kid you not. It may not be what you had in mind, but I think it's worthy for a BC meet up, if you just wanna hang out with other shiny people and eat tasty pie. Tasty, tasty pie.
