Firefly is still AHEAD of schedule!

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 50.63 (46.61) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

Our ultimate goal, 750,000 votes, is 47,790 (48,796) votes, and 47.5 (41.81) days away! We're on-target, and need to maintain a daily average of 1,039 (1,039) votes to stay on track!

You have risen to the call, and done our shiny show proud, Browncoats. What does that make you? Big Damn Heroes!

Firefly has had the top daily score every day since Sunday, April 29, 2007, when Xena beat us by 160 votes, something no other show has accomplished EVER SINCE! We've been the #1 show in the Poll since August 17th, 2007, when we passed Xena! We had tremendous numbers, in those days, with daily totals in the 1,500s and up. Let's keep up the hard burn, show everyone our Browncoat Fan Power, and clinch this final milestone!

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,006 (1,167) times, 161 fewer than the previous day. Wow. must've been a busy "Independents Day" all over the 'Verse! Still, we kept our total over 1,000; let's see if we can keep that up over the weekend, mebbe recover some of our gusto and get the daily total back up!

Yesterday, Xenites voted 463 (459) times, 4 more than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 543 (708) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

Firefly is 164,901 (164,358) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #17 show Laramie 164,685. That puts us at 10,099 (10,642) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 18.6 (15.03) days, based on current voting.

We'll get our next banner, for 705,000 votes, in another 2,790 (3,796) votes and 2.77 (3.25) days!

7,692,180 (7,679,624) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 07/05/08. Yesterday, 12,556 (13,859) votes were cast. Our share of the voting pie remains at 9%.

Let's remember that the US Independence Day weekend continues today, which may (or may not) result in an alarming drop in voting totals. Just vote as best you can; things will likely get back to normal with the Monday vote. In fact, for those voters who aren't going off for the weekend, this could be a real opportunity to make some hay while the sun shines! Whatever you do, do it carefully, and come back safe.
