Many who served never made it back to celebrate.
Those of us who have, celebrate with vigor so those who can't know we appreciate the Independence they helped preserve.

I should have also mentioned that today is one of the 6 days of the year that many places are required to fly the POW/MIA Flag, including the Postal Service.
