On April 25, 2004, over one million people marched on our nation’s capital for the March for Women’s Lives. I had the good fortune of getting to fly out to DC from Seattle to be a part of it. And like any Firefly-loving fan would, I brought my favorite Blue Sun shirt along with me. Being from Washington State, I went to the area where Washington State people were gathering for the march. When it came time for us to start towards the parade route, I noticed that there was a Washington State banner being carried by marchers with a big gap where there should have been another person to help. I stepped up and asked if they wanted me to help and was quickly added to the banner crew. Then, I looked to my left and discovered I was standing next to Senator Maria Cantwell! She, along with a number of Washington State representatives, had shown up to the march to participate on the ground...and I got to march most of the way on her right hand. Here’s me and Blue Sun sharing an historic moment next to a senator at the largest march in U.S. history:

Now, share your Blue Sun story!
