*sigh* I can't decide. I know I should be a good browncoat and buy the blu-ray as soon as its released. But, I don't own a player, and who knows when I'll get one.

... Plus, it doesn't help that I'm broke.

Yeah don't worry too much, I rarely get things when they first come out. Hell, I've only JUST ordered my Collector's Edition of Serenity...it's yet to arrive, but I can't wait :)
though it didn't help that I wanted to get the US edition, as our Australian edition's cover didn't look quite so shiny...so I ended up having to import for an extra $10 or something.

Do we know yet if the Blu-Ray release will be mirrored with a new (cheaper) DVD release with all the same Features? Because that might be enough to tide me over until I can afford a Blu-Ray played and the BDS in all it's Hi-Def glory.

They suuurely do.
It's a Battlestar Galactica panel, hosted by Smith.
It's pretty darn shiny too, if only because Kevin Smith is hilarious. Mind you, being the loyal Browncoat that I am, and the fact that I didn't actually like BSG when I watched the mini-series, I was very defensive. Especially since, that guy to the left of Kevin Smith seems really pretentious.

Watch from around 6:35 onward for the Browncoat bit.

And I just realised my previous signature quote was slightly off, so I shall fix it up now :P

lolz, i love the little diversion to firefly. XD "my landlord is a massive firefly fan, and he heard we were doing battlestar and he was like 'yeah it wont be anything like firefly'." DAMN FUCKIN STRAIGHT!!!!! lolz, theyve all had some experience with firefly or another XD you cannot escape the Browncoats

Not to completely de-rail this thread, but that clip is awesome and shows the power of Firefly. I'd love to shake the hand of whomever screamed that from the crowd!
