I actually believe that reincarnation does not involve personalities, just the energy of the spirit. Possibly with that energy is carried along impressions of past lives, but rarely anything solid. So maybe flashes of memory are involved, but not so much any real substantive traits that make up an individual.

Hindus and (I think) Buddhist believe in this, in fact Roman Catholics did back many centuries ago until some Pope decided it was beneath his dignity...
it has zero to do with personality, it is the soul working it's way through many lives earning credit to know God (and/or Spiritual Enlightenment) and paying off bad karma gained from mistakes made w/free will.
But I guess who ever wrote the original post didn't really want the discussion, huh?
