Haven't given it much thought, to be honest. First name I can think of is Newt Gingrich. He's got a brilliant mind and a tremendous grasp on U.S. history, but I'm not certain he has the temperament to be, say Sec State.
Guess I'd need to think about that for a while. Good question.

I'm a bit worried that McCain might " go for broke " and try to woo Bobby Jindal, from Louisiana, but the kid is simply too young ( even though he has FAR more experience in Gov't ,at the Federal level , than does Obama )...
Define "FAR more experience at the federal level". I see that Jindal was elected the the US House of Representatives in 2004, the same year that Obama was elected to the US Senate. Beyond that, I can't find a single mention of Jindal in any capacity at the federal level.
So is it your stated position that a US Representative is more of a federal official than a US Senator?

In March 2001 he was nominated by President George W. Bush to be Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services for Planning and Evaluation. He was later unanimously confirmed by a bipartisan vote of the United States Senate and began serving on July 9, 2001. In that position, he served as the principal policy advisor to the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

I heard someone float the idea of Chuck Hagel for Obama's veep today, and it had a nice ring to it.

Chuck Hagel is a Republican who disagrees with Obama on virtually all the policy issues except Iraq. He holds one of the Senate's strongest records of support for Bush. If something happens to Obama, you'd have him as president. Still have a nice ring to it?

While Barr is running as Libertarian, not much point in voting for RINO McCain, but they could make a diffficult choice by selecting Condileeza, Mary Schiavo, Gov Palin (AK), Susan Engeleighter, Clarence Thomas, Peter Pace, or a few other interesting choices.
