Back from the charity showing vump. Great fun was had by all. More than a few in costume (myself included) showed for the event.
There were a few doorprizes given out, the most popular was a replica grenade (not to say the others weren't wonderful, 'cause they were all great prizes, just this time, with this crowd, the grenade was 'it'). A buzz went up when it was announced, then the winner called out, "That's me!" and pretty much everyone else let out an, "Awwww," which in turn got a few laughs.
It was great to spend some time with fellow brown-coats. We all laughed at the right places, got all the jokes & appreciated the nods...

No, it means you have to bring some Chinese food here for my dinner! 'Tis the only way you'll ever win forgiveness from me.

Oh. I guess I shall be forever unforgiven, VOMP!

Good to hear it went well FT! Several cities are reporting in and it all sounds pretty good except for some minor snafu's.
My fingers are crossed that ours goes off without a hitch tomorrow.
*wonders why she's suddenly craving chinese noodles??*

Mornin' stats BOMP!

Firefly is now FIVE days behind schedule!

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 69.72 (61.14) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

We don't get our numbers back up, instead of flyin' high, we could end up on the drift without a compression coil.

Our ultimate goal, 750,000 votes, is 62,070 (62,905) votes, and 74.34 (63.41) days away! We've fallen behind our target date by FIVE days, and need to maintain a daily average of 1,035 (1,015) votes! Let's keep those daily totals up!

http://www.richlabonte.net/tvvote

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html

ALL three links work for voting, so if you have trouble, you can try an alternate address instead.

You can vote for more as many Top 40 shows as you like, once every hour. You can only nominate one show per hour, at:

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/nominations.html

Download the FlyVote voting timer, a NEW version of the program. It'll remind you when it's time to vote, each hour: http://usbmicro.com/misc

Votes are counted per network IP, so, don't go to the library or your office and vote hourly on each computer on the subnet, or all votes will be thrown out; multiple votes on rotating IPs will likewise be rejected.

Top two shows as of this morning:

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Total votes Firefly: 687,930 (687,095)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 835 (992) times, 157 fewer than the previous day. Pretty awful, even for a Saturday! We have two months left to vote, Browncoats; if every one of us voted just once more per day, it would help ensure achieving 750k!

Total votes Xena: 530,946 (530,489)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 457 (458) times, 1 fewer than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 378 (534) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

Firefly is 156,984 (156,606) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #21 show Trapper John, M.D. 148,994. That puts us at 18,016 (18,394) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 47.66 (34.45) days, based on current voting.

We'll get our next banner, for 690,000 votes, in another 2,070 (2,905) votes, and 2.48 (2.93) days!

7,517,423 (7,505,707) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 06/22/08. Yesterday, 11,716 (13,575) votes were cast. Our share of the voting pie remains at 9%.

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shiny? We accomplish more together than we would separately! Let's continue to support our friends! Browncoats never leave a friend behind!):

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 486 (522) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 267 (311) votes, yesterday, in 73 (76.81) days.

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 544 (656) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass BSG by the end of the Poll.

#10 show Angel got 450 (553) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #9 show The X-Files, which got 347 (389) votes, in 21.56 (16.43) days.

#15 show Babylon 5 got 324 (406) votes, yesterday, and, is on track to pass #14 show Stargate SG-1, which got 259(346) votes, in 2.38 (3.67) days.

The Babylonians are very close to a pass; let's help boost 'em through the jumpgate!

#27 show Dark Shadows got 331 (395) votes, yesterday, receiving enough votes to to pass #26 show Star Trek: The Next Generation, which got 223 (245) votes, in 9.49 (7.55) days.

Thanks for the awesome help! Dark Shadows still needs your ongoing support!

#36 show Blood Ties got 513 (711) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #35 show The Simpsons, which got 198(184) votes, in 7.99 (5.37) days!

#43 show (#3 in the Nominations) Moonlight got 646 (798) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #42 show
