I'm voting Republican, because I want to have the draft reinstated.
Back to 'Nam, anyone?

When we built these dreams on Sand,
And how they all slipped through our Hands,
And this might be our only chance-
Let's take this One Day at a time,
I'll hold your hand if you hold mine;
The time that we Kill keeps us alive...

The Band of the week is... Rise Against

Gott weiß ich will kein Engel sein.

Actually it is the Democrats who are most likely to reinstate the draft. There have been two Democratic Senators who've been pushiong for the reinstatement of the draft since either the 1990s and as soon as the Democrats became a majority again they tried to vote on it until Nancy Pelosi squashed it for being the wrong time.

Hmmm. You seem awake. Aware. Attentive. Sensible. Coherent. Comprehending. A voice of reason in a sea of rant.
I'm afraid I must assume you to be consevative and/or Republican. Maybe Libertarian or Independant.

I'm sure you have sources to support this claim?

Hmmm... You seem confused. Inconsistent. Erratic. Incoherent. Uncomprehending. Blindered. Brainwashed. Unaware. Inattentive.

I'm afraid I must confirm you to be "consevative" or "independant" - but certainly no scholar!

I'm voting Republican because unlike Democrats, Republicans never have marital infidelities, they just have lapses in moral judgement that have already been forgiven by baby Jesus.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the American people should be accountable to the government, not the government to the American people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe a person should be treated as a member of an interest group, not as an individual.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government knows how to spend my money better than I do.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe our educational system shouldn't be held accountable for the progress of our children.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the United Nations, not the United States, is the best hope for freedom.

I'm voting Democrat because I have no faith in free enterprise.

I'm voting Democrat because I have no faith in any resourcefulness of the American people.

I'm voting Democrat because I have no faith in the U.S. economy.

and most importantly I'm voting Democrat because...God Damn America!

I'm voting Republican because I believe that the right to privacy is vastly overrated, and that the government really needs to listen to every phone call I make.

I'm voting Republican because I believe that all Americans are plotting against us, and we need them to prove that they aren't, not the other way 'round.

I'm voting Republican because Big Pharma knows that I'm an individual, and with the help of a Republican majority, they'll be able to find a cure for that.

I'm voting Republican because imperialism and overseas wars are way more important than domestic infrastructure improvements.

I'm voting Republican because, after all, teachers are nothing but overpaid babysitters, and the only way our kids will ever move ahead in education is if we teach them the Bible in science class!

I'm voting Republican because I believe that it's the education system's job to teach my kids, not mine, and they'll damn well be held accountable, no matter how little money we actually give them to do their job.

I'm voting Republican because as far as my kids' lunch is concerned, ketchup IS a vegetable!

I'm voting Republican because the United Nations isn't good for anything, but they're a handy scapegoat when our own unilateral efforts fail miserably.

I'm voting Republican because I have so much faith in free enterprise and market economies that I'm willing to subsidize them with YOUR money, just so you can't compete with them!

I'm voting Republican because I have faith that the American people are resourceful enough to make homes out of cardboard boxes, and I want to see them prove me right!

I'm voting Republican because I have so much faith in our economy that I'm willing to spend trillions of dollars on useless wars AND cut taxes, all while sending our jobs overseas and showing that faith by buying only cheap, imported crap. After all, the best way to show our faith in our economy is to burn it to the ground to show just how resilient it is!

And most importantly, I'm voting Republican because Osama bin Laden told me to, and because Republicans are Al Qaeda's best recruiting tool.

Thank ya very much,
