Hey all,

manic day at work but I have done the impossible (well, configured 3 machines, re-setup the virtual work ticket system on a site, fixed a couple of backup problems and all whilst manning the support phone all day!) and that makes me mighty.

Laconic? more like sneaky but does remind me of a recent Buffy, 'You ok Oz, you seem if possible even more stoic than usual.'

hope you're all doing good.

Off to play Eve for a bit as finished maths early and then sort out lunch etc for tomorrows trip to wrexham.

We tried the quiet discussion of please don't do that again. We tried the you really need to be here and working while you're on the clock approach.
Now we're on to documenting the fuckups and letting her hang her damned self.

I spend more time fixing her mistakes and cleaning up after her than I do on all the other nurses put together including the trainees. She has a bad attitude, a worse mouth, and she just needs to go away. Now. Please. This has been going on for over six months now. It needs to stop. The manager keeps saying she needs to follow the steps, but HR is appalled that she's still here after all this time. She is routinely loud and open about her displeasure with the facility, her coworkers, and her job. Her favorite ploy to get out of doing something she does not enjoy, or to cover up when she screws up (again) is "I was never showed that. Nobody trained me for that".
So now *I* basically have to document that she's been shown everything all over again.
Nobody can figure out why she's still here.
Any place else, and I mean ANY, and she'd have been fired almost a year ago. Period.

Sorry, wrong thread for venting about it.

Four months ago I'd have told her to go home and stay home, but I don't have the authority to do that. She's feeling persecuted and has demanded a meeting with the muckity-mucks. The manager would be delighted. She has a stack of paperwork she's been collecting on just such a topic.

So now I'll just have one of what everybody else is having. EVERYBODY.
