Maybe I missed it here, but I was surprised by this article in our local paper this morning. Anybody going to be in Little Rock June 13-15 for this conference?

Saw this as well. I had a discussion with a Ph.D. who attended these and said how, um, indirect she had to be regarding travel reimbursement forms and justifications for going to such academic conferences.

That sounds awesome, but of course I can't go because I live in Australia. I love analyzing the philosophical aspects of Joss's shows, especially Buffy, which I personally think has the most substance of all Joss's works. However, I don't think you need the writings of Aristotle or Nieztche to make philosophical observations about the show, which exist independently.

Ohh,ooh! I saw this on the news. It was so neat because they introduced the story w/ the start to Buffy soundtrack.... and then went on to explain the 'cult following' of Buffy. Hee hee.
