Although I like to do my own writing, and I am a major fan of this 'verse, I don't think I trust myself to write a worthy Firefly story. However, I do have a great story idea. I just need an experienced Firefly writer to bring it to life.

It deals mainly with Wash doing a job b/c the captain is unavailable, and how the job affects Wash's growing interest in Zoe (obviously before they are in a relationship/marriage).

Any takers?

I'll give it a shot. I'm good at expanding on ideas; that was my first movie (taken from an old short story written by someone in the 1800s).

how's it working out for ya?

have you read Better Days?? sheds a new light (and opens many potential doors) on zoe's backstory and relationship to wash...

No, I haven't read Better Days yet. I saw issue #3 in a BAM, but they didn't have the first two, so I'll just wait until it comes out in one whole book.

How long's it been since the BSR had a "take this idea and run with it" challenge (if ever) ?

I'd love to see all the different takes this gang of scribblers would have on a simple phrase or nubbin of plot, with or without preset parameters.

'Course I'm kinda tweaked like that....
